==Background== 
Originally, Yorrick hails from the [[Anarian Empire]] but went into exile after the forming of the Sea of Glass.  He came out of hiding during the creation of [[Shieldhaven]], and has since stayed within its walls. 
<br><br>At first glance, one would say that Yorrick is nothing but a high minded layabout, with his shabby and often torn clothing, or dirty and unkempt appearance.  However, to him, such frivolities are pointless when uncovering the secrets of the universe. Despite his appearance, Yorrick is one of the foremost experts on Riftology and Aether studies.  His knowledge and research has lead to many recent advances such as a feat once thought impossible: Temporarily stabilizing a rift in [[Trimaris]].
<br>It is even rumored that he knows the secret to the powerful rift shield of its namesake, Shieldhaven.
