==Background==

Little is known about the enigmatic Lady of Coin, Therea Cantus

As a shrewd business woman, Therea quickly climbed the ranks of the Shieldhaven Merchants Guild in her youth.  Though she was well positioned in the guild, she attempted several times to take over leadership of the Guild, but each time was bypassed for another candidate.

Decisive and absolute with her contracts, she leaves little to no wiggle room for even the best negotiators.  She always seems to be one step ahead of any council member, but no one knows her end game.  <br>Even when she is down, she's secretly ahead.

===Recent Events===
Therea endorsed [[Xan Turrainly]] for the position of Grand Arbiter.  He has been a staunch ally during council meetings since his election.

Using her position as Lady of Coin, Therea suspended all Merchants guild and Trade organization rights to operate within Shieldhaven and remanded all open contracts to the Shieldhaven Council for review and completion upon review.  While this has been appealed by the Shieldhaven Merchants guild, the appeal has been delay by the council for unreported reasons.
