The Merchayne

The Merchayne is composed of a group of small kingdoms and city-states. A large number of their members once belonged to the Anarian Empire. In 27 AS with rumours of Anarian Empire possibly looking to reclaim some of it's lost territory, and other threats appearing to the south, a proposal was set forth to band together for protection. They decided to appoint a group of governors to oversee themselves. Shieldhaven was invited to the gathering, but refused to join The Merchayne.
